Vacancy: Junior Payroll Coordinator

Salary: £16,000

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: Howden

Job Summary

To assist in achieving the department objectives in line with the corporate strategy and vision for which the job holder is directly responsible, and continuously improve performance.

The role of the Jr Payroll Coordinator is to assist with the weekly and monthly payments to Ebuyer/Wren Kitchens employees as well as all relevant documentation associated with the role.

The ideal candidate must have a good head for figures and be able to work to tight deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities

bulletCheck times input by supervisors amending any late starters, early leavers, sickness, maternity, holidays, authorised absences, unauthorised absences and check up on obvious mistakes.
bulletCheck all holidays and sickness against the Absence/Holiday list from Human Resources. Inform HR of any differences that need to be rectified.
bulletCheck all starters and leavers from the weekly HR report to ensure that the appropriate amount is paid to employees, and that no overpayments are made to leavers.
bulletAssist with the effective running of weekly and monthly payrolls, updating of all payroll files - process starters, leavers, SSP, SMP, changes forms, pay increases, passed probation forms, P45s, P46s, and pay advances.
bulletPrint all payslips and check through carefully, making any necessary amendments.
bulletDistribute payslips after printing.
bulletLiaise with Inland Revenue, Job Centre, CSA, Courts, Councils and Agencies on a regular basis.
bulletLiaise with the company HR department in order to appropriately address any problems or queries that may arise.
bulletAdhere to stated policies and procedures regarding health and safety in the workplace.
bulletAdhere to procedures regarding the proper use and care of equipment and materials associated with the role.
bulletPursue personal development of skills and knowledge in order to effectively perform the role.
bulletLearn and keep up with payroll legislation.
